  • Trash bags are stored under the sink alongside the trash can. Additionally, two large trash cans are located on the left side of the two-story section of the house, outside.

  • In case a breaker needs to be reset, the breaker box is located at the rear of the two-story section of the house, outside.

  • All remotes for the mini split units are hung on the wall corresponding to each unit, directly below them.

  • Extra toilet paper is available in the vanities in each bathroom.

Around the property

As you approach the house, you'll notice a natural foot bridge to the right of 'The Nest'. This marks the beginning of a trail that connects with an old logging road, offering partial ascent up the mountain behind the house. This area is part of our land, and we invite you to explore the mountainside and enjoy the beautiful woods on the property. Please note that the property is very secluded and natural, with many animals who are permanent residents. Be mindful of your surroundings when exploring the woods.

Behind the primary bedroom, you'll find blueberry bushes. If the birds haven't picked them clean, we encourage you to enjoy them during your stay. Additionally, there are abundant raspberry and blackberry bushes throughout the property. If you can confidently identify them, feel free to harvest them as well

Trouble Shooting Instructions:

  • If the water pressure in the house diminishes there is a valve beneath the “sky bridge” that connects both parts of the building outside. There is one valve for the hose and one lower on the wall for the whole house filter. Sometimes this needs to be purged, simply open the valve and let the water run for anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute. Then close the valve back up and water pressure should be restored.

  • The trash cans are located to the left of the main two story part of “The Nest”. If you are standing at the fire pit looking at the house, they are located around the corner to the left, beneath the bathroom window.

  • The main light switch panel inside the front door, shares a few three way switches with the light switch panel in the loft. If you are having any trouble with the fan or the main high hat lights, in try toggling between those two panels.

  • The washer / dryer unit is a self contained all in one unit and does take some time to complete a full cycle. This process can take between 4 and 5 hours for a full cycle. So just be aware of this if you decide to put in a full cycle that it will take time to complete.

  • The outdoor lights that project onto the primary bedroom, at the end of the house, have a controller box that is plugged in beneath the sky bridge, which is the hallway connecting the two buildings. The controller box it attached to the underside of the sky bridge. You can flip through the modes of the unit by clicking the mode button. In order to turn the lights off entirely, set the mode to "manual" and use the up/down buttons to turn the lights off. If push comes to shove you can simply unplug the unit as well. If you choose to do this, please let us know so we can ensure they get plugged back in when you check-out.
